Indie Montreal + CIBL 101.5 + Amnesty International = Good Music

I love it when different organizations come together for a good cause, don’t you? Amnesty International is a long-running non-governmental organization that fights for human rights across the globe. In order to raise funds for the group, Indie Montreal & CIBL have joined forces to program one fantastic night of music which is coming up on August 16th, at Sala Rossa.

Headlining the show will be France’s Jérôme Minière, but I’m a tad more excited about seeing Le Husky take the stage. The man’s got some inescapable songs and an ability to capture my unidivded attention, a feat scarcely achieved by most of the francophone content I am exposed to on a regular basis. Sad, but true. Here’s a sample of his music:

Also on the bill will be local bands The Loodies, Cardinal, and mellow electro-folk act Our Book & the Authors, whom you can hear here:

If any of this interests you, then I suggest you head on over to Sala Rossa on August 16th to see all these bands perform. All proceeds go to Amnesty International, all good music goes into your ears. Tickets are 10$ in advance or 12$ at the door. Cheers!
