Hannibal Buress: The Hannibal Montanabal Experience

Seeing a Hannibal Buress show fees like hanging out with some friends, one of whom happens to be a funny dude on a roll. His style is so laid back, it really just feels like that. The man could do his whole set just sitting on a couch, and it would probably come out just as good. With topics ranging from his time at 30 Rock to YouPorn comments to religious freaks, Hannibal kinda rambles on without losing the crowd, somehow. He’s got slow delivery but manages to keep a good flow going throughout his act. He’s got a realist vibe, and you can tell that he means everything he’s saying, no matter how serious or ridiculous.

There are a bunch of memorable bits in his current show, my favourite being this line, spoken in conversation with any person who says they’ll pray for him: “I don’t want your prayers, keep your prayers, make me a sandwich.” Extra points for being an atheist, brother! Man, when did everyone become an atheist?

Anyways, the show’s been doing great, selling out repeatedly, so if you wanna get in on the action, act fast! The Hannibal Montanabal Experience only has 3 shows left, catch it while you can!

P.S: The opener for last night’s show was Ari Shaffir, who’s a hell of a funny guy. He’s got a show on called “So I’m fucking this girl, right?” and it’s awesome. Go see that, too!
