Microwave Porn!

There’s gotta be a first time for everything, right? I don’t think we’ve ever written about a webseries before, but dammit, Microwave Porn is too good to go unnoticed!

So here’s the premise, as is told by the show’s theme song: Dave’s an architect whose microwave was hit by mystical lightning on a stormy night. The lightning brought Allen (the microwave) to life, and instantly made him addicted to porn. Dave is pushing 30, so all he wants to do is get a girlfriend, but Allen keeps messing it all up.

Now, I know this sounds ridiculous (and it is) but somehow it works. The show doesn’t take itself too seriously, and every epsiode is hilarious in a different way. My personal favourites are episodes 5 and 6, where Dave, Allen, and one of Dave’s female friends get trapped in the woods, where Allen finds god and grows the best beard in the history of microwave beards. The show’s easy to get into because Allen and Dave are both instantly likeable, and the dialogue is flawless. And Nigel’s there, sometimes. Who doesn’t love Nigel? Here’s the first episode, just to give you a taste.

Even better: Who doesn’t love Nikki Payne? She guest stars in episode 7, playing her irresistible self. Her first line in the show? “I brought chicken. Let’s fuck.” Check it out here:
